Reflecting on Ramadan and the art of self-discovery

Ramadan is a special time of the year for Muslims worldwide, and for me personally, it is a time of self-reflection and resetting. As the last day of Ramadan approaches, I can't help but feel grateful for the past month and the opportunity it has given me to look back at the past year and set the tone for the next 12 months.

This Ramadan has been particularly special for me as I have taken on new responsibilities in my life. Working with new partners has given me a sense of excitement and motivation to make the most of this holy month. Along with these new experiences, I have also learned to prioritize my health and well-being. I have worked on fixing my sleeping schedule and making sure to take care of my "ageing body".

For some, self-reflection and resetting can be done on other days, such as the new year or their birthday. However, for me, Ramadan is a pivotal month that allows me to connect with my faith and contemplate my place in this world. It is a time for me to take stock of my achievements, areas of growth, and set new goals for myself.

I believe that self-reflection and resetting are essential practices for everyone, regardless of their faith or background. Knowing where you stand in this world and having a plan for your future is crucial for personal growth and development. It helps you stay focused and motivated towards your goals and enables you to live a purposeful and fulfilling life.

As the month of Ramadan comes to an end, I would like to wish everyone "Selamat Hari Raya" and may all your deeds during Ramadan be blessed and rewarded in the hereafter. May we continue to strive towards our goals and work towards becoming the best version of ourselves.
